Prof. Stephen W. Cheung
Honorary Chief Scientist, OASA; Former Adjunct Professor for MSc. programme in Space Science at the Department of Physics at HKU
Prof. Stephen W. Cheung is Honorary Chief Scientist of OASA.
Educated in the United States, Prof. Stephen W. Cheung began his career as a research scientist at a NASA funded Gravity Probe-B satellite programme at Stanford University. He later worked in two major medical device companies in Silicon Valley, specialising in radiation therapy systems. He holds several US patents related to X-rays and is the author of two books on microwave technology.
Prof. Cheung worked in Hong Kong for 10 years. He was the General Manager of the Electronics Division at the Hong Kong Productivity Council and later served as the Executive Vice President of a consumer electronics company.
Prof. Cheung has served as Adjunct Professor for a MSc. programme in Space Science at the Department of Physics at HKU from 2020 to 2023.

Mr. Patrick Suen
Founder & CEO, eurus.space
Patrick Suen is the Founder & CEO of eurus.space, a start-up company focused on developing emerging space tech concepts and solutions with an emphasis on natural resources. He also founded insitu.one (formerly known as WATERIG), where he developed a Web3 framework to democratise access to renewable resources, including sustainable farming and clean water. He is confident that his work will revolutionise sustainability in human settlements and potentially extend to future interplanetary colonies.
Patrick has demonstrated unparalleled enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies. As an early adopter of Bitcoin and blockchain technologies in 2013, he has led multiple crypto projects from conceptualisation to launch. He also has a long-running interest in space exploration, having dedicated years to the study of biological applications in space. Bridging interdisciplinary innovations remains his ultimate passion.
Patrick obtained his BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. He also holds an MSc in Business Economics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since 2017, he has been a selected Solver volunteer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and serves as a panel review member for social impact projects. In 2019, the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Climate Change and Environment recognised him as a Climate Innovator.
Patrick’s current work on space technology centres on prototyping an advanced water propulsion mechanism and conceptualising a lunar "Broadband" system. He is an active member of the global new space economy community and frequently participates in hackathons and other events held by NASA, ESA and CNSA. He is seeking both local and international collaboration opportunities, as well as early-stage venture funding.

Mr. Steve Wong
Founder & CEO, Big Data Idea Lab
Mr. Steve Wong K.M holds a master's degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the United States. He worked as an engineer in Silicon Valley and moved to Asia to start his career in telecommunications, Internet and mobile. Founder and CEO of Big Data Idea Lab, engaged in big data AI optimization solutions. Served as the CEO and director of Green System Tech, engaged in STEAM AIBlock kits, promoting Create Your Own Toy (CYOT), WePlay, and ESG TOY 3.0. Vice President of Wise Tech, engaged in AI Alliance network platform design and promotion of artificial intelligence applications.

Prof. Pietro Borsano
Associate Professor, Xi’An Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Entrepreneur College
Pietro Borsano is an Associate Professor at Xi’An Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Entrepreneur College (near Shanghai, China). He specialises in entrepreneurship education, industry-academic partnerships, and venture development across Europe, ASEAN, and China. He is also an advisor to the Global Academy at Siam University, an innovative TNE initiative.
Previously, he was Deputy Executive Director (equivalent of vice-dean) at Chulalongkorn University’s School of Integrated Innovation (Bangkok, Thailand), where he co-founded the institution, developed global partnerships, and designed its entrepreneurship curriculum. He has led industry projects with Alibaba Group, Banpu Pcl., PTTEP, Huawei, and Business Online Pcl. among others.
Pietro has advised tech startups, VCs, and government innovation programs, serving as a Peer Review Expert for Hong Kong’s Innovation and Technology Venture Fund and a Venture Fellow at Meet Ventures Singapore. His research focuses on digital transformation and entrepreneurship in family businesses.
With a background in corporate law (University of Turin) and business administration (ESCP Business School), he has taught in multiple universities and co-founded a management consultancy and provided strategic consulting on market expansion and innovation, driving significant growth for industrial clients.

Mr. Ron Chiong
Managing Partner, Perpetual Space Ventures
Ron Chiong is a managing partner at Perpetual Space Ventures, an investment platform he founded to invest in space technology across both private and listed equity markets. As an engineer by training, he is passionate about exploring how technology intersects with various societal domains, from finance and smart cities to space exploration and its impact on human advancement on Earth. Ron also serves as a managing partner at AvantFaire Investment Management which is an impact investment firm specialising in sustainability technologies and cultural preservation in Hong Kong and mainland China.
Previously, Ron worked at Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission, where he helped lead policy research on financial technology and crypto assets. Prior to that, he held senior derivatives trading and portfolio management roles at major financial institutions, including Standard Chartered, BNP Paribas, KBC, Nomura, and Allianz/Dresdner.
Ron holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, and a master’s degree in space systems engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He is a board member and chartered member of the Orion Astropreneur Space Academy (OASA), where he contributes to building Hong Kong’s new space economy and ecosystem.

Prof. Gregg Li
NewSpace Innovation and Entrepreneurship Professor at OASA; Advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation; Adjunct Professor at HKU and Advisor, Lab for Space Research, HKU
Prof. Li is the founding director of the Orion Astropreneur Space Academy (OASA), which aims to nurture future entrepreneurs. He is an experienced systems engineer and organisational and technology architect, having worked with leading companies and family businesses for over four decades.
As an organisational and technology troubleshooter, Prof. Li has shared his expertise as an Adjunct Professor at various universities, teaching on subjects like Applied Corporate Governance for Families, Management of Technologies and Transformation, and Space Entrepreneurship.
In addition to his academic roles, he has served on the boards of Cyberport, the Urban Renewal Authority, and the eBRAM International Online Dispute Resolution Centre. He has also advised the Lab for Space Research at HKU, Tech London Advocates, and the Asian American MultiTech Association, among others.
